The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, is visiting the United States today to meet with President Trump, with business leaders, and to attend Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit.
Donald Trump and Trudeau had a closed-door meeting and a quick photo-op, but Trudeau was left to hold a press conference by himself, as Trump suddenly had “scheduling conflicts” and for some reason couldn’t face the press alongside his Canadian counterpart.
Trudeau's office says their side "would have been happy" to hold a joint news conf with Trump, but the White House had "scheduling issues."

Trump is supposed to go Pennsylvania that same day for a speech on tax reform.

It is extremely curious that Trump couldn’t push back his speech a few hours – he’s flying to western Pennsylvania, perhaps an hour by Air Force One – to share a press conference with our nation’s closest neighbor and closer ally, and the entire situation smacks of Trump’s notorious insecurity.
Trudeau’s charm and intelligence shine through especially bright when placed alongside the fetid and bloated Trump, who has demonstrated time and time again that he is barely capable of holding onto a single train of thought for more than a minute and a half – even when talking about himself.
