The perpetrator of the Las Vegas massacre, Stephen Paddock, stole the lives of 58 innocent people and wounded 546 others on October 1, 2017. There has been much speculation about Paddock’s life, but investigators have been able to provide next to zero insight into the madman’s mind. However, a bombshell was recently disclosed regarding Paddock’s political affiliations — he was a supporter of President Donald Trump, according to a new report from Newsweek.
The shocking revelation came when the Sheriff of Clark County, Joe Lombardo, sat down for an exclusive two-hour interview with a local Las Vegas television station where he spoke about a wide range of subjects relating to the shooting. Buried in the interview was a 17-second sound bite which will shock the world. Lombardo was asked by interviewer George Knapp, “He (Paddock) had no political beliefs of any kind, really, identifiable at all?” Lombardo said:
The only thing we are aware of is he did make a statement…that he was happy with Trump because the stock market was doing well. That is the only thing we have seen to reference politics.
Watch below as Lombardo reveals Paddock’s political affiliation :
Lombardo’s revelation will hopefully, at last, lay to rest the attempts of right-wing individuals who have desperately sought to present a narrative that Paddock was a left-wing tree-hugging hater of Republicans. Given that Paddock was a multi-millionaire who regularly gambled millions of dollars at the tables in Las Vegas, his status as a Republican supporter has always been the far more likely scenario.
One should not hold their breath in anticipation that individuals on the right will accept this damning revelation. In fact, a whole slew of propagandized right-wing conspiracy theories have been circling the Internet since the massacre occurred. For example, syndicated conservative columnist Wayne Allyn Root spread the bizarre theory that Paddock’s actions were “the handiwork of a vast lefty-Antifa-Muslim-jihadist-Illuminati conspiracy.” As it happens Root used to regularly open for Trump at his rallies on the presidential campaign trail. Another favorite, and thoroughly debunked, theory was Paddock attended an anti-Trump political rally, which therefore meant he was a leftist.
This is not the first time Paddock’s support of Trump was presented in the media, but the information was overlooked because of the source — lunatic conservative talk radio host Micheal Savage. A former neighbor of Paddock, who only identified himself as “Rick”, called into Savage’s program two days after the massacre to declare he and Paddock used to be drinking buddies. Savage asked “Rick”, “Did he express any political opinions to you in your discussions?” To which “Rick” replied:
No sir, not a thing. Other than I told him, cause I was wearing a Trump Team shirt that said Trump Team on it, and he was Trump fan.
Listen to the conversation below:
Savage then snidely quipped, “Oh! Don’t let that get out!” and quickly changed the subject. The identity of “Rick” was never verified and very well could have been a stunt for Savage to bolster his dwindling ratings as he watches his elderly bigoted audience slowly die off.
The settling of the debate about Paddock’s political affiliation is by no means to be considered a political victory for leftists. There can be no victory when 58 people were murdered and 546 others were wounded while attending a music festival. The calculated cold-blooded attack Paddock executed has left a grotesque wound upon the psyche of Americans that will never heal, but at least now we know the truth. Paddock was a Trump supporter.
