In tonight’s Saturday Night Live cold open, Alec Baldwin reprised his role as Donald Trump to decorate the White House “tree of shame” for Christmas (video below).
“You can finally say it again because the War on Christmas is over,” said Baldwin’s Trump. “Soon to be replaced with the War on North Korea.”
Baldwin’s Trump invited many of his closest surrogates to decorate the tree with the faces of his “haters and losers” that have been fired over the past 11 months of this administration’s tumultuous tenure in the White House.
Kate McKinnon’s Kellyanne Conway hung a James Comey ornament, Aidy Bryant’s Sarah Huckabee Sanders hung ones bearing Sean Spicer’s and Anthony Scaramucci’s faces, Beck Bennett’s Mike Pence had Mike Flynn, Scarlett Johansson’s Ivanka Trump hung a Roy Moore ornament.
There were also appearances by Mikey Day and Alex Moffat as Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., and, of course, Kate McKinnon as a tiny “Elf on the Shelf” version of Jeff Sessions.
It was Leslie Jones’ Omarosa, however, that stole the show as she banged on the windows in her desperation to get back into the building from which she was fired.
“Take me back!” she yelled. “I’ll always love you!”
“She’s a tough cookie,” said Trump to Melania. “I think we’ll have to move.”
