Pro-Putin Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) visited London this week to meet Julian Assange and suggest that Donald Trump could pardon the Wikileaks publisher if he is charged with crimes for his role in harming Hillary Clinton’s campaign on behalf of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Rohrabacher was at the Ecuadoran Embassy along with hard-right Republican Holocaust denier Chuck C. Johnson. (photo below)
Rohrabacher made headlines recently when it was revealed that he had flown to Moscow to get official Russian government propaganda for last year’s election straight from a high-ranking Russian official.
Now, Rohrabacher has conducted another mission and returned to America with a message that should make anyone extremely apprehensive about the behavior of the House GOP lawmaker. He told TheDaily Caller this:
“[Julian Assange] has information that will be of dramatic importance to the United States and the people of our country as well as to our government,” Rohrabacher said. “Thus if he comes up with that, you know he’s going to expect something in return. He can’t even leave the embassy to get out to Washington to talk to anybody if he doesn’t have a pardon. Obviously there is an issue there that needs to be dealt with, but we haven’t come to any conclusion yet.”
Of course, Rohrabacher disproved his point in the quote that nobody can contact the former-journalist turned Russian propagandist by visiting him.
Now, the House GOP Foreign Affairs Committee member wants to give complete legal immunity to the very person who assisted his party in last year’s election by spreading stolen Democratic National Committee emails for Republican propaganda purposes.
His sinister goal of pardoning the man responsible for serving as Russia’s propagandist behind a shield of plausible deniability is a chilling attack on equal protection under the law for Democrats harmed by cyber-thieves.
Adding additional cause for alarm is Donald Trump Jr.’s sudden decision this morning to follow Julian Assange on Twitter. Trump Jr. following Assange opens up a channel for Direct Messaging between the two men.
The President’s namesake is best-known for illegally soliciting Putin’s agents in Trump Tower again in Paris, and he could easily use this secret communications channel to make a quid pro quo for his daddy.

Julian Assange has been living in Ecuador’s UK Embassy in London to avoid prosecution for rape charges since 2012, and last year published a series of emails on Wikileaks from Democrats to help Trump beat Hillary Clinton on behalf of Putin.
While it’s entirely reasonable to presume he may have key information about Putin, who is, after all, hosting Wikileaks openly in Russia today, Rohrabacher has no legitimate reason to interfere with a man at the heart of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference.
Rohrabacher’s pipe dream pardon is exactly the fairy tale ending Trump would write for America’s largest espionage, election, and racketeering investigation in history.
The plain goal of Putin’s favorite Congressman is to short circuit the Trump Russia investigation by giving a key player total immunity from prosecution in order to spin an alibi story filled with lies and Russian propaganda.
