The Republican Party’s obscene collection of handouts for the wealthy and multinational corporations that they are shamelessly trying to pass off as a “tax reform” bill has just passed its first hurdle as Senators “Liddile” Bob Corker (R-TN) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) dutifully abandoned all their past objections and voted to advance it to the Senate floor.
The American people showed up en masse to let the Republicans know how they feel about this outrageous act of class warfare that would kick millions of people off their healthcare, raise taxes on half of the American population, and send our deficit through the roof.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) tried to give an interview to reporters crowing about the first step on the road their first major piece of legislation in 2017, but was quickly drowned out by furious protestors:

They were much happier to see Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who was greeted with cheers and applause as he strode into the Senate chamber to admonish his colleagues for their naked subservience to their plutocrat masters.

The crowd turned rambunctious as the rest of the Republicans filed in, chanting “KILL THIS BILL, DON’T KILL US,” which prompted the Capitol Police to turn violent and begin restraining protestors – too determined to protect our uselessly malevolent Senators from facing the consequences of their actions than to let the American people exercise their First Amendment rights.
