President Trump may have thought that his feud with a black UCLA student’s father was over and done with after his Twitter rant – but boy, was he wrong.
President Trump made headlines a few weeks ago when he decided to publicly berate three UCLA students of color for not being “grateful enough” for securing their release from the People’s Republic of China, where they were being held after getting caught shoplifting.
The president turned what should have been a minor diplomatic request into a full-blown public feud after he accused the athletes and their families of being “ungrateful” and demanded he be effusively thanked and appreciated for doing his job, exposing his writhing insecurities and spiteful soul for the whole world to see.
LiAngelo Ball’s father, LaVar Ball, called out Trump for not acknowledging the patriotic shoes he sent the president to show his appreciation – and followed up with an own of truly epic proportions.

It is a .gif of LaVar literally dunking on Trump, who then goes to tweet about it…and then it repeats. It is hypnotizing; perfectly encapsulating the spite and frustrated rage of the powerless that reeks from the President’s tweets.
Within minutes, the .gif went viral on social media and is sure to provoke an angry response from Trump – especially since he was directly tagged in the post.
Is it enormously petty? Perhaps. But this is an extinction-level event in terms of internet warfare; a critical hit right to the ego. Trump can look forward to this .GIF haunting his Twitter mentions for months to come.
I'm going to quote Darren Rovell:
"I feel bad for our country but this is tremendous content"
