Lady Gaga Just Revealed The Real Reason Trump Won’t Help Puerto Rico

For all of the criticism of clueless celebrities who express half-formed, poorly-reasoned political views in public, one must credit Lady Gaga for an astuteness that far outshines the vast majority of her peers in the entertainment industry when it comes to divining the motivations behind President Trump’s most perplexing and vexatious utterances.

The extremely talented and articulate multi-faceted entertainer found the perfect explanation for President Trump’s anemic response and pugnacious defensiveness in the humanitarian calamity now occurring in the U.S. territories of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands in the aftermath of the most destructive hurricane season in history.

Luckily, Lady Gaga decided to share her insight on Twitter:

One doesn’t always expect such cogent and accurate political analysis from pop stars, even ones who have demonstrated the breadth of talents that Lady Gaga has, but it’s undeniable that she has hit the nail squarely on the head in this instance. Perhaps President Trump should be happy that for once, his failure to address the disaster in a sufficiently robust manner is being blamed on naked political calculation rather than his inherent racism.

Unfortunately for the people affected by the cataclysm, Trump’s motivations matter much less than the effects of his indifference on the sluggishness of the federal response to the disaster.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!
