Before he had even left, White House staff had cut short President Trump’s tremendous trip to Asia due to fears that he would become “tired” and “cranky.” The senior officials worried that the strain on our lazy and pampered President would lead to “unpredictable or undiplomatic behavior.”
It appears their fears were well founded, as the Daily Mail reports that President Trump had “a hard time” staying awake and focused at a state banquet attended by many world leaders, where Trump was a guest of honor.
“A sleepy-looking Trump opened and closed his eyes repeatedly during his host’s toast, a set of dry remarks that had to be translated bit by bit for him from Vietnamese to English” reported the British newspaper.

Vietnam is the fifth country on his tour of East Asia, ending with a stop in the Phillippines, where he will meet murderous lunatic President Rodrigo Duterte, a man he has praised several times in the past despite the horrifying massacres that are being carried out by Duterte’s death squads against drug pushers and users.
We can only roll our eyes at the thought of what he might say and do in the company of another would-be autocrat.
Trump’s poor attention span and inability to conduct himself as a President should is well-documented at this point, but there’s still something very jarring about seeing the President behave like a spoiled toddler at a major diplomatic function when just one year ago we could count on President Obama to represent our nation with dignity and grace – a man whose impeccable conduct set a bar that all other Presidents will be held to.
